This sweater already has quite a history. The yarn was a very generous gift from Debbie Bliss. I was in London to help out at Debbie's booth at Ally Pally in early October last year. While there, I received the news that my mother had been hospitalized again and I flew home frantically. My dear boyfriend, who had also been helping out at Ally Pally, flew back to the states about a day behind me, carrying the yarn. I started the sweater the week after my mother died, but set it aside when I realized that anything with shaping or directions was going to be too much for me. I picked it up again over Christmas and other than leaving the last ball of yarn in the states and waiting for the mail to catch up with me, it has been smooth sailing ever since.
Let it be known, that I love this sweater. I was a bit worried that it would be shapeless on me, but the subtle waist shaping solved that problem. It is the perfect sweater for the slightly chilly, but not really cold days and it will continue to get lots of wear through the spring.
I also love the yarn! Normally I avoid the chunkier yarns, but the Donegal Tweed is soft and lovely with great yardage. It spit splices like a dream, eliminating annoying ends. I heartedly recommend it to everyone.
In the next post, I'll need help choosing buttons! Demi is almost done!

I have a SERIOUS crush on that sweater. Wow. It's amazing!

did you add the waist shaping? I haven't even started mine, so I haven't even bothered to read pattern since Ally Pally!
